Be Forward Wanderers will square off with Azam Tigers  in Airtel Top 8 first leg match at Balaka Stadium on Sunday.

The Nomads are coming from a 1-0 victory to Kamuzu Barracks in their previous league match which was played at the Civo Stadium on Saturday.

Wanderers are placed second on the league table with 3 points from a game. They are behind Red Lions on goal aggregate.

The Nomads have been impressive at Balaka and midfielder Alfred Manyozo  has discussed the team’s home form.

“At home we need to triumph, and we’ve been getting maximum results at Balaka,” Manyozo said.

“We want to win it to enhance our chances to qualify for the semi-finals.

“But more importantly, winning at home is what our fans deserve for the support they always give us here.”

Wanderers captain Francis Mulimbika is hoping that hard work and team effort can help his side register another victory, having returned to winning ways against Kamuzu Barracks.

“Credit should go to all players for hardworking spirit. We showed it during Saturday’s game and we expect to continue where we stopped.”

The champions in the Airtel Top 8  will  carting home a cool K15 million while the runners-up will get a K5 million consolation.

The tournament has also  mouthwatering individual awards with the player of the tournament and top scorer each walking away with a whopping K500 000.

The fans have not been left out in the cold and the outstanding supporter will get K200 000.
