Vincent Nyangulu’s hat-trick and a Babatunde Adepoju’s brace gave Be Forward Wanderers a deserved 5-0 win over Dwangwa at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.

The victory means the Nomads moving to position five from eight.

Wanderers started hunting for an early goal with an exchange of passes between Nyangulu and Babatunde.

The Nomads breakthrough came in the 41st minute of the first half through Nyangulu who received a brilliant pass inside the penalty box from Babatunde. The first half ended 1-0 in favour of Wanderers.

After recess time , there was great work between Wanderers attacking midfielders, Francis Mkonda and Francisco Madinga who supplied their strikers with good balls. Wanderers got a second goal after 52 minutes when Babatunde capitalised on a mistake by a Dwangwa defender. Four minutes later, Babatunde fired a third goal.

Just three minutes, Babatunde dribbled past a Dwangwa defender and sent a well-curved cross to unmarked Nyangulu to score a fourth goal for Nomads.

Nyangulu completed his hat-trick in the 59th minute after he received a pass from Adepoju near the penalty box. Wanderers coach Oscar Kaunda brought in Rafique Namwera, Zicco Mkanda and Misheck Botomani for Felix Zulu, Babatunde and Isaac Kaliati but there was no impact.

Wanderers team manager Victor Maunde was a happy man. “This is my first game, I feel good because I have started with a win,” he said.

Babatunde was named man of the match.
