Be Forward Wanderers will be out trying to go on top of the TNM Super League standings, with victory over Blantyre United at MDC Stadium on Thursday afternoon.
The Nomads claimed a four successive wins, beating Kamuzu Barracks, Wizards FC, Dwangwa United and Mafco FC before drawing 0-0 against Azam Tigers earlier this week to cement themselves as title favourites.
They are on third slot with 13 points, 2 behind leaders Wizards FC.
Against Mphembedzu, Wanderers will come up against a side on a poor run of form and fresh off beating losing to Dwangwa United 2-1 in their previous match at Chiwembe ground.
Be Forward Wanderers team manager Steven Madeira is wary of the threat posed by the dis-jointed Blantyre United, but boasting an impressive record by his team , the hosts will be expected to come out tops.
“We have to worry about Blantyre United ,” Madeira said. “We have to look at them as any side, and we will approach it right and make sure we grab maximum points since we are also playing at home.
“That is the way it should be in football (in reference to the home record).
“You should try and take care of the home games. MDC is a beautiful pitch and good atmosphere with our fans drumming support to us, definitely we are going for a win.
“We have to try and keep everybody on the pitch. We have to play according to the opposition and what we will get against them,” Madeira concluded.
