Steve Madeira

Be Forward Wanderers team manager Steven Madeira  has admitted that his side was below their best against Silver Strikers in the Airtel Top 8 Finals and that on Sunday  he wants his side to turn things around as the two teams face each other in the TNM Super League at the Bingu National Stadium.

The Nomads lost the final match on post match penalties after a 0-0 result.

However, Madeira  has assured that he wants a strong performance to form his players on Sunday .

The Nomads  will go into this match without some of their key players like Stanely Sanudi and Jabulani Linje, who have travelled to Morocco with the Flames on national duties.

Madeira says the absence of the two players will not affect their preparations because they have a pool of players  who can fit into the duo’s shoes.

“We have a huge squad and we do not think the absence of the two players will affect us in any way. Yes they are good players but we will fill their gaps,” he said.

The youthful manager also  made some comments about  Silver Strikers promising player Mathews Sibale.

Madeira  sees Sibale  as one of the biggest threats in this upcoming clash and says that the  former Nsundwe United striker  is “dangerous” and  can  surprise defenders  because of his talent.

Madeira  is well aware that this clash is crucial , he says a win at  Bingu National Stadium  would “strengthen their belief” and lift them up to maintain the grip on the summit table.
