THE chant from the crowd was long and loud ‘Nyerere! Nyerere! they sang as Be Forward Wanderers  pruned Namwera Select 3-1 on Monday at Namwera ground in a friendly match.

Julius Kajemba scored the first goal after  shoddy defending from Namwera’s defence.

Another chance fell to the Nomads, as  Khumbo Ng’ambi had  beaten  Namwera’s keeper with a curling shot that flew just wide of the post.

Namwera also had their looks, as their main striker twice barely missed sharp crosses that would have been sure goals but thanks to Richard Chipuwa who was brilliant in goals.

Kajemba nearly doubled his tally, but his header from close range flew over the bar.

Ng’ambi  also went close, as Wanderers  were in full control at this point, with Namwera seemingly just waiting for the final whistle.

Other goals were netted by Ernest Tambe and Khumbo Ngambi.

It was a game that saw Coach Yasin Osman fielding some players from the reserve side like Tilimbe Jeke,Chikondi Kananga and Brunell Kaunda.
