Be Forward Wanderers played with their lungs out on Saturday against Karonga United in the TNM Super League at the Karonga Stadium.
The Nomads, coming from their three consecutive defeats scored their vital goal in the 31 minutes through Babatunde Adeboye.
Babatunde, who was voted man of the match scored a beauty after a well received pass from Francisco Madinga.
Wanderers, who moved to position nine from sixteen made some changes to their previous squad that started against Silver Strikers.
For instance, they made changes in goals as Nenani Juwayo replaced Richard Chipuwa.
In defence, Albert Mpinganjira introduced Francis Mulimbika, Bongani Kaipa, Dennis Chembezi and Stanely Sanudi.
On the midfield, Raphael Sahel partnered Francis Mkonda, while Francisco Madinga and Isaac Kaliat operated from the wings.
Babatunde played behind Vincent Nyangulu.
Karonga kicked Off the game on a slow pace as they panicked and no wonder Wanderers had two shots on target in the 7th minute compared to none from the home side.
Karonga who lacked composure inside the box struggled match on the middle of the park where Mkonda outplayed them.
The Nomads could have also pumped some goals, but they lacked the killer punch when Nyangulu managed to beat three defenders only for his last touch not well utilised in the box.
Karonga also have themselves to blame when three times they failed to secure an equalizer.
The notable chance for the home team came in the added time when Stanely Sanudi cleared the ball on the goal line.
After the game, Be Forward Wanderers Team Manager, Steven Madeira praised his charges for responding after a bad spell in their previous match, while Kondwani Mwalweni for Karonga conceded the defeat and said it was a bad day in office.
